My family and I took a trip from my brother’s wedding in Michigan to our homestead in Kansas. Halfway back we stopped by the Amana Colonies. These Colonies are a group of settlements of radical German Pietists in Iowa, comprising seven villages. It is an interesting part of the country, indeed.
