Ryan and Erin VanLoon were wed on a beautiful fall day at New Life Church in Norfolk and then celebrated the night away at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach. It was grand.
I met Ryan in my first year of living in Virginia Beach, in the spring of 2009. He was considering attending school at Regent University and I was the lucky lad tasked with showing him around the place. I was delighted when he ultimately came to school and studied in the same program as me. We’ve been chums ever since. It’s been a treat to see him fall for Erin–she’s the best and her laugh is infectious. Their wedding day was splendid, filled with a charming exchange of vows, a lock of love at the Ghent Walking Bridge, and an evening of good food and celebration. Highlights of the day are below and the full set, along with the ability to purchase prints, can be viewed here.
Many thanks to my fantastic second shooter, Malcolm Fitschen. Couldn’t have done it without ya, homie. And props to all the wonderful vendors for a job well done: Jengagements (coordination and planning), New Leaf Ghent for their lovely flowers, Truffle Shuttle for a rad party bus ride, Sweetwater Cuisine for the tasty food, and Gary Gauldin on the 1’s and 2’s.
