Benjamin and Hailee fell in love in the city and got married in the mountains. It was a warm, sunny southern California day spent sipping horchata and eating pie in the shade. What more can you ask for?
I’ve known Ben for 7 years in which time we have lived together, won multiple flag football championships, ran a Tough Mudder, rode tandem on my scooter and, quite simply, lived life together. Anyone who knows Ben will tell you he is a giver. He lives life with passion and gives his complete energy in service to others. It’s what made him shipping off to L.A. to work at the Dream Center such a perfect fit. And it was at the Dream Center he found another perfect fit―Hailee. I haven’t had the privilege of spending a ton of time with Hailee, but from the moments we have shared together I’ve discovered her to be sweet, caring and just as giving as Ben. They’re rockstars. Upon seeing all the lives they’ve touched and witnessing those in attendance at their wedding I was honestly challenged to evaluate how well I encourage others in faith and life.
Anywho, on to the photos. The ceremony and reception took place in Miguelito Park, just outside of the quaint town of Lompoc, CA. Ben and Hailee agreed, after very little convincing, to do a post reception shoot in Gaviota State Park. It turned out to be one of my favorite sets to date. Highlights are below and the full set, along with the ability to purchase prints, can be viewed here.
Many thanks and props to all the wonderful vendors for a job well done: Southside Coffee Co., Taco Roco, T&T Sweet Repeats, Ana Peters’ family, and Karla Valdes.
